We all know classroom management is vital to a successful learning environment. The CHAMPs model will help with to make rituals and expectations very clear and structured. Please add any charts you use to help structure your room.

http://www.classdojo.com/ This is a really fun way to track student behavior in class. The students are assigned avatars, you could assign them a number if uncomfortable with their first names, manipulate the positive and negative behaviors, also it charts those behaviors which could be really useful in parent communication and for other documentation. It's FREE! Summer has been using it since day 1 and I began using it today with a really good response from my students. In my room I have the board displayed throughout the day on the projector and I assign points using my smart phone as we rotate through activities. You can sign up and practice with a demo class to see if you might like to use it.

These charts were used in an elementary classroom, but can easily be adapted for older students.CHAMPs.jpg

STAR Student Contract-
This can be used while meeting with the STAR student and their parents. The contract gives them additional understanding about the program and allows them to sign it, showing that they understand the expectations.
